Record-breaking domino falldown at WDC 2024: more than 850,000 dominoes toppled!
On August 23, 2024, the Dutch Domino Team achieved an incredible feat at the World Domino Collective (WDC) in Veenendaal, the Netherlands, setting a new amateur world record with 851,433 dominoes toppled. Featuring five breathtakingly detailed worlds — Desert Dunes, Wild Wilderness, Pink Paradise, Asian Ambience, and Wonderful Waterworld — the event captivated spectators for over 20 minutes. Each world was crafted with stunning precision and vibrant color, providing an immersive experience as dominoes cascaded through desert sands, tropical jungles, and tranquil gardens.
Building the display was no small feat. The WDC team, comprising members from five different countries, spent two weeks meticulously arranging 900,000 dominoes in the venue. With 250 spectators in attendance, the excitement was palpable as the final domino fell.
As a proud partner, Don Domino supplied a significant portion of high-quality dominoes used throughout the event. Our reliable dominoes once again played a crucial role in this world-class achievement, ensuring smooth falls and breathtaking visuals.
